# Quickstart

> Send a test page to Faxbeep, find it on faxbeep.com, and check how it arrived.

**1. Prepare a test page**

Use a page with some text and an image, and no personal or confidential information. Each test is public for 30 days.

Faxes sent over a phone line must be black and white. Email tests can be in color.

**2. Send it**

Choose a test number or a test email address:

Each fax number is also a test email address. Use the digits of the international number, without the `+`, followed by `@faxbeep.com`.

> Dial a test number from your fax machine and send the page. You can call any of the numbers from any country. The test is free, but your phone provider may charge for the call.

> Scan the page and email it to a test address as a single PDF, TIFF, or JPEG attachment.

> Select the Internet Fax (I-Fax) mode on your copier, enter a test email address, and send the page.

**3. Find your result**

Open [faxbeep.com](https://faxbeep.com). Your test usually appears at the top of the results within a minute. The list updates automatically, so you don't need to reload the page.

A test sent by email has the label "Received by email" on its page.

**4. Check the result**

Click your test to open it. Check that the page is upright and readable, and that the page count is right. For a fax, also check the sender ID your machine printed at the top of the page. Open the PDF to see every page.
